Summer Recap

Justin started his third and final year of law school yesterday. Woah! Time has flown by. I remember helping him move to Winston-Salem two years ago as a newly engaged couple.  Now, we have been married a year and only have a year left in this city.

To document Justin’s last year as a student and our final year in Winston-Salem, I am making a goal to update this blog. This year is sure to be busy with winery visits, moot court and trial team, Junior League and maybe cracking open the occasional law book.

We had a wonderful summer in Raleigh. Justin worked for a civil defense firm and he loved it! We also fell in love with Raleigh.

We celebrated my 23rd birthday the first week in Raleigh at the Melting Pot. It was a restaurant I had always wanted to try. The cheese and chocolate fondues were both yummy!

Over Memorial Day Weekend we were able to go visit one of our dearest friends Carisa in Washington, D.C.  One of our favorite parts about living in North Carolina is the distance to so many cool cities. We are within driving distance of Asheville, D.C., Atlanta, Charleston, Savannah and so many others! We had a really fun visit with Carisa.

And it was fun to visit D.C.!

We spent the rest of the summer exploring Raleigh.

So beautiful!
